FOOD PANTRY REPORT/SHORTAGES FOR AUGUST 14
Actualizado: 25 ago
This week did not hit a new 31-year record! It did tie for the third-highest non-holiday food distribution of our 31 years. Over the week ending with the 14 August distribution, we received approximately 3.26 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 2.52 tons of non-perishable food (less than normal due to donation shortages) and substantially more perishable food to 315 families.
Estimated shortages for the next two distributions: (1) pasta sauce (short approx. 380 bottles/cans), (2) mac & cheese (short c.380 boxes), (3) pasta (short approx. 310 boxes), (4) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. -- short c.292 cans), (5) (canned soup (short c.284 cans), (6) oatmeal/cereal (short c.260 units), (7) canned beans (short c.156 cans), and (8) canned fruit (short approx. 117 cans). (We believe we have sufficient dry rice & beans for three weeks.)
We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, diapers sizes 4 and 5, baby wipes, and Pediasure. In addition we need Ensure, and adult pull-ups sizes medium, large and extra-large.
Paper grocery bags (Walmart or Trader Joe size), plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
We need your help in order to help those in need!
