FOOD PANTRY REPORT/SHORTAGES FOR NOVEMBER 6
Over the week ending with the 6 November distribution, we received approximately 4.41 tons of non-perishable food donations, and gave out some 3.66 tons of non-perishable food and perhaps as much perishable food to 376 families.
Estimated shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 370 families next week and 500 for the 20 November Thanksgiving distribution): (1) canned soup (short c.1100 cans), (2) oatmeal/cereal (short c.744 units), (3) canned vegetables (sort c.715 cans), (4) pasta sauce (short approx. 678 bottles/cans), (5) pasta (short approx. 594 boxes), (6) mac & cheese (short approx. 590 boxes), (7) dry rice/beans (short c.584 pounds), (8) canned beans (short c.550 cans), (9) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. -- short c.475 cans), (10) tuna/canned meat/canned fish (short c.400 cans), (11) canned fruit (short approx. 325 cans).
We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, diapers numbers 3 and 6, and baby wipes.
Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
