FOOD PANDRY REPORT AND SHORTAGES AS OF JANUARY 23

Wind and cold may have discouraged some clients this past Monday – but, thanks be to God, did not discourage our donors who provided slightly more food than we gave out. But more of those in need will be here next week – they need your help!

Shortages for next week’s distribution: (1) dry, unsweetened cereal (estimated 116 boxes short), (2) canned fruit (estimated 79 cans short), (3) pasta (estimated 65 boxes short), and (4) mac & cheese (estimated 20 boxes short). Additional shortage for the 6 February distribution: all of the above plus (5) pasta sauce, (6) dry rice/beans, (7) canned beans (black/kidney/ red/etc.), (8) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. – estimated 50 cans short), and (9) canned soup (we have halved distribution due to insufficient supply since late December). There are sufficient canned vegetables and canned tuna/meat/ fish for three and six weeks, respectively.

We also need: diapers sizes 2, 4, and 5. Also needed Ensure for adults, and adult unisex pull-ups sizes small, medium and large.

Plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.

Over the week ending with the 23 January distribution, we received approximately 2.46 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 2.37 tons of non-perishable food and rather less perishable food to 243 families.

Many thanks to everyone who can help us help those in need!
