FOOD PANTRY REPORT AND SHORTAGES AS OF MARCH 6

Short for next week’s distribution: (1) “add-ins” (cookies, crackers, common condiments, etc.) and (2) canned fruit. Additional shortages for the 20 March distribution: the above plus (3) pasta, (4) pasta sauce, (5) dry, unsweetened cereal, (6) canned vegetables, and (7) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc.). Shortages for 27 March: all of the above, plus (8) canned soup, (9) canned beans (black/kidney/red/etc.), and (10) dry rice/beans. (At halved distribution, we have canned soup sufficient for 13 and 20 March. There should be sufficient canned tuna/meat/fish for four weeks and mac & cheese for three and a half weeks.)

We also need: baby food numbers 1 and 2, diapers size 1, and baby wipes. Also needed are Glucerna, plus adult unisex pullups sizes small, medium and large.

Plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.

Over the week ending with the 8 March distribution, we received approximately 2.64 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 2.71 tons of non-perishable food and somewhat less perishable food to 278 families.

Many thanks to everyone who can help us help those in need!
