FOOD PANTRY REPORT AS OF APRIL 27 2021

St. Martin’s Food Pantry continues to receive donations from individuals, churches and businesses during the Pandemic. We thank you for your continued support. Students from Good Counsel High School, St. John’s College High School, Rockville High School, and Watkins Mill High School helped at the Food Pantry during the week or on Sunday.
During the past week, we provided support to St Jude and Living Faith Lutheran food pantries. Donations were received from: St. Martin’s, Our Lady of the Visitation, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Bartholomew, PAX (McLean, VA), Life4 Animals Thrift Shop, Carderock Springs Swim & Tennis Club, Leisure Neighbors, Montgomery County Council 2323 Knights of Columbus, Gaithersburg Costco, Germantown Lancaster Dutch Market (delivered by team from Mother Seton parish), Great Harvest (Rockville), Rockville Trader Joe’s (delivered by Celestial Manna), Spring Mill Bread Co. (Rockville), Giant Food (Travilah), Bagel Towne (Travilah), MoCo’s Founding Farmers (Potomac), Panera (Kentlands and Germantown), Harris Teeter (Rockville), Whole Foods Market (delivered by Loving Care), Crumbl Cookies (Rockville), and Damascus Help.
Spotlight on donor:
• The Life4Animals Thrift Shop is an upscale thrift shop located at 15938 Luanne Drive Gaithersburg whose purpose is to raise much needed funds to support nonprofit animal and welfare causes. They have supported St. Martin’s Food Pantry for many years by collecting canned goods. They also support Animal Rescue Corps whose mission is to end animal suffering and provides trained caretakers and vets to work with local law enforcement to close down dog fighting operations, puppy and kitten mills, and other sites of animal cruelty.
On April 26, the Food Pantry served 262 clients. We provided diapers and baby formula/food to 149 clients. The Pantry served clients from Aspen Hill, Damascus, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village, Rockville, Silver Spring and Wheaton.
At this time the Pantry is in need of the following items: Similac Blue Formula, Baby diapers sizes 4 & 6, baby wipes, adult diapers (size M/L), vegetable oil, and jelly. We have a sufficient supply of peanut butter, Ramen and canned goods for the coming week.
