FOOD PANTRY REPORT AS OF JUNE 1, 2021
St. Martin’s Food Pantry was open on Memorial Day, May 31 to distribute food to clients and to receive donations. In honor of Memorial Day and to thank those who served in the military or who paid the ultimate sacrifice, the Food Pantry flew the American Flag.

We want to first thank the many volunteers who gave up their Sunday and/or Monday to help at the Food Pantry those two days. Students from Rockville High School, Good Counsel High School, Connelly School of the Holy Child, and Watkins Mill High School helped at the Pantry on Sunday or Monday.
During the past week, we provided support to St John Neumann, St. Jude and Living Faith Lutheran food pantries.
Donations were received from: Our Lady of Mercy, Lee Memorial AME Church (Kensington), St. Martin’s, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Bartholomew, Montgomery County Council 2323 Knights of Columbus, Leisure Neighbors, Gaithersburg Animal Hospital, Life4Animals, Gaithersburg Costco, Germantown Lancaster Dutch Market (delivered by team from Mother Seton parish), Great Harvest (Rockville), Rockville Trader Joe’s (delivered by Celestial Manna), Spring Mill Bread Co. (Rockville), Bagel Town (Travilah), Panera (Germantown and Kentlands), Harris Teeter (Rockville), Whole Foods Market (delivered by Loving Care), Crumbl Cookies (Rockville), and Damascus Help.
On 5/31 the Food Pantry served 241 clients. We provided diapers and baby formula/food to 125 clients. We also provided baby food and diapers to St. Martin’s Gabriel Network.
The Pantry served clients from Aspen Hill, Clarksburg, Damascus, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village, Rockville, Silver Spring and Wheaton.
At this time the Pantry is in need of the following items: Similac Blue Formula, b
aby diapers sizes 2, 4, 5 and 6; baby wipes, cereal, and canned soup.
We do not need egg cartons at this time. Plastic bags, paper bags with handles
and newspaper plastic covers are always needed.
After hours’ deliveries to the Food Pantry should be left in the storage bins on the ramp at the front door or the rear of the pantry. Monday delivery times are 8 a.m. to 12 noon, Sunday delivery times are 12 noon to 4 p.m. and on Thursday/ Friday delivery times are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
