FOOD PANTRY REPORT AS OF MAY 25, 2021

St. Martin’s Food Pantry will be open on Memorial Day, May 31 to distribute food to clients and to receive donations. Volunteers who want to help the Food Pantry can complete the Volunteer Form on the St. Martin’s website at: https://www. stmartinsweb.org/st-martin-s-pantry

It is through the generous contributions of businesses, churches and individuals that we continue to serve those who need food in Montgomery County. Students from Rockville High School. Connelly School of the Holy Child, and Crestwood Middle School helped at the Food Pantry on Sunday.

During the past week, we provided support to St John Neumann, St. Jude and Living Faith Lutheran food pantries.

Donations were received from: St. Martin’s, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Bartholomew, Our Lady of the Visitation, Pax Community (McLean), Montgomery County Council 2323 Knights of Columbus, Leisure Neighbors, Gaithersburg Costco, Germantown Lancaster Dutch Market (delivered by team from Mother Seton parish), Great Harvest (Rockville), Rockville Trader Joe’s (delivered by Celestial Manna), Spring Mill Bread Co. (Rockville), Bagel Town (Travilah), Panera (Germantown and Kentlands), Harris Teeter (Rockville), Whole Foods Market (delivered by Loving Care), Crumbl Cookies (Rockville), and Damascus Help.

On 5/24 the Food Pantry served 253 clients. We provided diapers and baby formula/food to 131 clients. We also provided baby food to St. Martin’s Gabriel Network. The Pantry served clients from Aspen Hill, Bethesda, Boyds, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village, Rockville, Silver Spring and Wheaton.

At this time the Pantry is in need of the following items: Similac Blue Formula, baby diapers sizes 5 and 6, baby wipes, women’s adult underpants, pasta sauce, canned soup, mixed vegetables and canned fruit. We do not need egg cartons at this time. Plastic bags, paper bags with handles and newspaper plastic covers are always needed.

After hours deliveries to the Food Pantry should be left in the storage bins on the ramp at the front door or the rear of the pantry. Monday delivery times are 8 a.m. to 12 noon, Sunday delivery times are 12 noon to 4 p.m. and on Thursday/Friday delivery times are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
