FOOD PANTRY REPORT/SHORTAGES FOR JULY 31
This week marked a 31-year record for a non-holiday food distribution, passing the previous record of two weeks ago by four families.
Short for the next two distributions: (1) canned soup (short c.477 cans), (2) pasta (short approx. 436 boxes), (3) canned vegetables (short approx. 422 cans), (4) canned fruit (short approx. 379 cans), (5) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. -- short c.342 cans), (6) pasta sauce (short approx. 320 bottles/cans), (7) canned beans (short c.211 cans), and (8) cereal/oatmeal (short c.188 units). (We believe we have sufficient dry rice & beans and tuna/canned meat/canned fish for three weeks.)
We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, diapers sizes 4 and 5, baby wipes, and Pediasure. In addition, we need Ensure, and adult pull-ups sizes medium, large and extra-large.
Plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
Over the week ending with the 31 July distribution, we received approximately 3.21 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 3.11 tons of non-perishable food and rather more perishable food to 319 families. We need your help in order to help those in need!
