FOOD PANTRY REPORT/SHORTAGES FOR NOVEMBER 13
Over the week ending with the 13 November distribution, we received approximately 5.57 tons of non-perishable food donations (THANK YOU!!), and gave out some 4.21 tons of non-perishable food and rather less perishable food to 424 families.
Estimated shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 500 families next week for the Thanksgiving distribution and 290 for the week of 27 November): (1) oatmeal/cereal (short c.700 units), (2) pasta sauce (short approx. 454 bottles/cans), (3) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. -- short c.383 cans), (4) canned soup (short c.376 cans), (5) canned fruit (short approx. 308 cans), (6) pasta (short approx. 273 boxes), (7) dry rice/beans (short c.236 pounds), (8) tuna/canned meat/ canned fish (short c.233 cans), (9) canned beans (short c.147 cans), and (10) mac & cheese (short approx. 70 boxes).
We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, diapers numbers 1, 3 and 6, and baby wipes.
Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed. May God bless you for whatever help you can provide!
