FOOD PANTRY REPORT/SHORTAGES FOR OCTOBER 16

Over the week ending with the 16 October distribution, we gave out some 3.87 tons of non-perishable food and perhaps as much perishable food to 398 families (yet another new record for a non-holiday distribution).


Estimated shortages for the next two distributions: (1) canned soup (short c.935 cans), (2) canned vegetables (sort c.743 cans), (3) oatmeal/cereal (short c.576 units), (4) canned fruit (short approx. 500 cans), (5) pasta sauce (short approx. 480 bottles/ cans), (6) pasta (short approx. 456 boxes), (7) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. -- short c.388 cans), (8) dry rice/beans (short c.345 pounds). (9) mac and cheese (short approx.280 boxes ), and (10) canned beans (short c.275 cans). We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, baby wipes, and Pediasure, as well as Ensure for adults.


Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe size), plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed. May God bless you for whatever help you can provide for the weekly Pantry food distribution!
