REPORT AND SHORTAGES AS OF DECEMBER 12

Shortages for next week’s Christmas distribution: (1) dry, unsweetened cereal (estimated 260 packages short), (2) pasta sauce (estimated 160 bottles/cans short), (3) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. – estimated 110 cans short). Additional shortage for the 26 December distribution: (4) pasta. Additional shortages for the 2 January distribution: all of the above plus (5) canned soup, and (6) canned beans (black/kidney/red/etc.).

In addition, we need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes. Other baby supplies appear good for the time being – many thanks!

Paper grocery bags (Trader Joe or Wegmans size or similar) are continually in short supply. Can you help? Plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.

Over the week ending at close of business 12 December, we received approximately 1.66 tons of non-perishable food in donations, and gave out some 2.49 tons of non-perishable food and a similar amount of perishable food to 256 families. As always, special thanks go to all those helping us to keep St. Martin’s Pantry in operation!
