ST. MARTIN’S FOOD PANTRY REPORT 6/22/2021

St. Martin’s Food Pantry wants to thank all of the individuals, churches, non-profits, and businesses that made donations. Volunteers who want to help the Food Pantry can complete the Volunteer Form on the St. Martin’s website at: https://www. stmartinsweb.org/st-martin-s-pantry At this time the Pantry is in need of the following items: canned soup, cereal, pasta sauce, mixed vegetables, Similac Blue Formula, baby diapers sizes 4, 5 and 6. Plastic bags, paper bags with handles and newspaper plastic covers are always needed.


St. Martin’s Food Pantry sponsored a COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Church hall. Thirty-nine people were vaccinated. The clinic was supported by the Latino Health Initiative. They will return in three weeks so that the vaccinated can get their second vaccine dose.


We want to thank the 24 volunteers who worked on Monday for the food distribution. Students from Crestwood Middle School Rockville High School, Wootton High School, and Watkins Mill High School helped at the Pantry on Sunday. During the past week, we provided support to St John Neumann and St. Jude food pantries.


Donations were received from: St. Martin’s, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Bartholomew, St. Patrick’s, Our Lady of Mercy, Montgomery County Council 2323 Knights of Columbus, Leisure Neighbors, Gaithersburg Costco, Germantown Lancaster Dutch Market (delivered by team from Mother Seton parish), Great Harvest (Rockville), Rockville Trader Joe’s (delivered by Celestial Manna), Spring Mill Bread Co. (Rockville), Bagel Town (Travilah), Panera (Kentlands), Harris Teeter (Rockville), Whole Foods Market (delivered by Loving Care), Crumbl Cookies (Rockville), and Damascus Help. On 6/21 the Food Pantry served 223 clients. We provided diapers and baby formula/food to 124 clients. The Pantry served clients from Aspen Hill, Boyds, Damascus, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Laurel, Montgomery Village, Rockville, Silver Spring and Wheaton.


After hours’ deliveries to the Food Pantry should be left in the storage bins on the ramp at the front door or the rear of the pantry. Delivery times on Monday are 8 a.m. to 12 noon, Sunday 12 noon to 4 p.m. and on Thursday/Friday delivery times are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
