St. Martin’s Food Pantry wants to thank all of the individuals, churches, non-profits, and businesses that contributed donations.
Volunteers who want to help the Food Pantry can complete the Volunteer Form on the St. Martin’s website at: https://www. stmartinsweb.org/st-martin-s-pantry At this time the Pantry is in need of the following items: canned soup (in short supply), canned fruit, canned vegetables, cereal, Similac Blue Formula, and baby diapers sizes 4, 5 and 6. We also need egg cartons. Plastic bags, paper bags with handles and newspaper plastic covers are always needed.
We want to thank the many volunteers who worked during the past week. Students from Good Counsel High School, Connelly School of the Holy Child, and Crestwood Middle School helped at the Pantry on Sunday.
During the past week, we provided support to St John Neumann, St. Jude and Living Faith Lutheran food pantries. Donations were received from: Our Lady of Grace, St. Martin’s, St. Martin’s School, Caballeros de Colon de San Martin, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Bartholomew, Montgomery County Council 2323 Knights of Columbus, Leisure Neighbors, Gaithersburg Costco, Germantown Lancaster Dutch Market (delivered by team from Mother Seton parish), Great Harvest (Rockville), Rockville Trader Joe’s (delivered by Celestial Manna), Spring Mill Bread Co. (Rockville), Bagel Town (Travilah), Panera (Germantown and Kentlands), Harris Teeter (Rockville), Whole Foods Market (delivered by Loving Care), Crumbl Cookies (Rockville), and Damascus Help.
On 6/7 the Food Pantry served 230 clients. We provided diapers and baby formula/food to 129 clients. The Pantry served clients from Boyds, Damascus, Dickerson, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village, Potomac, Rockville, Silver Spring and Wheaton.
After hours deliveries to the Food Pantry should be left in the storage bins on the ramp at the front door or the rear of the pantry. Delivery times on Monday are 8 a.m. to 12 noon, Sunday 12 noon to 4 p.m. and on Thursday/Friday delivery times are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
