ST. MARTIN’S FOOD PANTRY REPORT 7/26/2021

St. Martin’s Food Pantry wants to thank all of the individuals, churches, non-profits, and businesses that continue to made donations so others have food.


Starting on Monday, August 2, the Food Pantry hours of operations for food distribution will be 7 a.m. to 12 noon. Tickets will be given out starting at 6:30 a.m.


Volunteers who want to help the Food Pantry can complete the Volunteer Form on the St. Martin’s website at: https://www. stmartinsweb.org/st-martin-s-pantry.


Five students helped on Sunday from Rockville High School, Watkins Mill High School, Wootton High School and Connelly School of the Holy Child. Students are welcome to earn volunteer service hours.


At this time the Pantry is in need of the following items: Cereal, Meals in a Can (such as Beef stew, Chili, SpaghettiOs), canned fruit, Spaghetti sauce, soup, Ensure, Similac Blue Formula, baby wipes, baby diapers sizes 3, 5 and 6 and adult diapers.


During the past week, we provided support to St John Neumann and Living Faith Lutheran food pantries and Nourish Now.


Donations were received from: St. Martin’s, St. Francis of Assisi, Our Lady of Mercy, Carderock Springs Swim & Dive Team, Cudas Care, Montgomery County Council 2323 Knights of Columbus, Leisure Neighbors, Gaithersburg Costco, Germantown Lancaster Dutch Market (delivered by team from Mother Seton parish), Great Harvest (Rockville), Rockville Trader Joe’s (delivered by Celestial Manna), Spring Mill Bread Co. (Rockville), Bagel Town (Travilah), Panera (Germantown and Kentlands), Harris Teeter (Rockville), Whole Foods Market (delivered by Loving Care), Crumbl Cookies (Rockville), and Damascus Help.


On 7/25 the Food Pantry served 220 clients. We provided diapers and baby formula/food to 77 clients.


The Pantry served clients from Aspen Hill, Bethesda, Boyds, Damascus, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village, Rockville and Silver Spring.


After hours deliveries to the Food Pantry should be left in the storage bins on the ramp at the front door or the rear of the pantry. Delivery times on Monday are 8 a.m. to 12 noon, Sunday 12 noon to 4 p.m. and on Thursday/Friday delivery times are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
