ST. MARTIN’S FOOD PANTRY REPORT 8/23/2021

Updated: Sep 5

PANTRY REPORT/ SHORTAGES: (1) canned soup, (2) pasta sauce, (3) “meals in a can” (stew/canned pasta/chili/etc.), and (4) dry unsweetened cereal. Also needed: diapers sizes newborn, 2, 5 and 6, as well as Similac blue, Pediasure, and the adult supplement Ensure. Child and adult-size pull-ups are also welcome.

•Plastic grocery bags and plastic newspaper bags are always needed.

•Currently not needed (but watch this space!): mac & cheese and tuna/canned meat/canned fish (over three months supply on hand), paper bags and egg cartons. Thanks as always to our food donors – who brought in 2.21 tons in the week up to last Monday. And, of course, thanks to the volunteers, including student volunteers, who help sort and store all those donations. With all their help, we distributed some 1.78 tons of nonperishable food, and a rather larger amount of perishable food (bread and pastries, fresh vegetables and fruit, etc. – primarily donated by local stores) to 183 families on Monday, 23 August.
