ST. MARTIN’S FOOD PANTRY REPORT OCTOBER 11, 2021

Shortages in order of need: (1) canned soup, (2) pasta sauce, (3) canned fruit, (4) “meals in a can” :(stew/canned pasta/ chili/etc.), and (5) pasta. Also needed: Similac Blue, diapers sizes 5 and 6, Pediasure, and baby wipes.

Plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.

NOT needed at this time: mac & cheese or tuna/canned meat/ canned fish (at current client numbers we have over 9 weeks supply on hand), paper bags, or egg cartons (again, thanks to all for the last. We are good for the time being!).

We received approximately 1.54 tons of food over this past week. With this and current reserves we should be able to cover this coming Monday’s estimated needs and the following Monday as well. Thanks to all who contribute!

This past week we gave out some 2.03 tons of non-perishable food, and a rather larger amount of perishable food (bread and pastries, fresh vegetables and fruit, etc. – primarily donated by local stores) to 209 families on Monday, 11 October. We continue a bit short of help this past week. Those who can assist us, you are essential to help sort, store and distribute the quantity of food we receive and distribute to those in need!
