ST. MARTIN’S FOOD PANTRY REPORT SEPTEMBER 27, 2021

SHORTAGES: In order of need: (1) canned soup, (2) “add-ins” (crackers/cookies/standard condiments/etc.), (3) pasta sauce, and (4) canned fruit.

Also needed: Similac Blue, and adult-size pull-ups.

•Plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed. We now also could use egg cartons.

•NOT needed at this time: mac & cheese or tuna/canned meat/canned fish (at current client numbers we have over 13 weeks supply on hand), or paper bags.

We received approximately 3.34 tons of food over this past week, from which we can cover this coming Monday’s estimated needs and almost all of the following Monday as well. Thanks to all who contribute!

This past week we gave out some 1.88 tons of non-perishable food, and a rather larger amount of perishable food (bread and pastries, fresh vegetables and fruit, etc. – primarily donated by local stores) to 192 families on Monday, 27 September. Many thanks for the extra volunteer help this past week. We still need you! Our helpers are essential to help sort, store and distribute the quantity of food we receive and distribute to those in need.
