Communion 2023

First Communion

First Communion

Preparing for the Sacrament of First Communion is a special time in child's life. God is calling us closer to him and is waiting to give us the gift of his Grace through His Sacraments. Along with your parents, the Priests, teachers, catechists and the Faith Formation Office are here to walk with you on this spiritual journey. During this time of preparation, we invite you and your family to delve further into your faith, to seek and ask for a deeper relationship with Christ. The St. Martins Faith Community will work with you, to provide opportunities where you and your family encounter the real person of Jesus Christ.

First Communion

"The Eucharist is" the source and summit of all Christian life "(CCC 1324)

In the most blessed  sacrament of the Eucharist “the body and blood, together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ and, therefore the whole Christ is  truly, really and substantially  contained" (CIC 1374)

This is a preparation program for the Sacraments of Reconciliation or Confession and First Communion. It consists of two consecutive school years of training for baptized and non baptized children from 1st to 8th grades with their parents.

During this time of preparation we will walk together providing opportunities where they meet the person of Christ and enrich their family faith life so that the family and community can celebrate the Holy Eucharist together.
