Food Pantry Report - June 15, 2024

Writer's picture: St. Martin of ToursSt. Martin of Tours

Over the week ending with 10 June, we received approximately 4.62 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 4.04 tons and somewhat less perishable food to 415 families. (Due to donation shortfalls -- see below, each family received some two pounds less in non-perishable food than our normal distribution target.)

Shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 390 families for each week): (1) oatmeal/cereal (short c.585 boxes), (2) canned vegetables (short approx. 578 cans), (3) pasta sauce (short c.516 bottles/cans), (4) canned fruit (short c. 488 cans), (5) canned soup (short approx. 468 cans), (6) pasta (short approx. 435 boxes), (7) canned beans (short c. 358 cans), (8) tuna/canned meat/canned fish (short c. 350 cans), (9) dry rice/ beans (short c.316 pounds), (10) mac & cheese (short approx. 220 boxes), and (11) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. - short c. 138 cans).

We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, Nos. 4. 5 and 6 diapers, baby wipes, and adult diapers/Depends sizes small, medium and extra-large. With thanks for a recent very large donation of the same, please hold off for the time being on any donation of size large adult diapers/Depends.

Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe or Lidl size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.

May God bless you for all your help for our work!
