Food Pantry Report - June 8, 2024

Updated: Jul 5

Over the week ending with 3 June, we received approximately 3.94 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 3.92 tons and somewhat less perishable food to 403 families. (Due to donation shortfalls -- see below, each family received some three pounds less in non-perishable food than our normal distribution target.)

Shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 390 families for each week): (1) canned soup (short approx. 715 cans), (2) pasta sauce (short c.588 bottles/cans), (3) canned beans (short c. 578 cans), (4) pasta (short approx. 527 boxes), (5) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. - short c. 525 cans), (6) canned vegetables (short approx. 523 cans), (7) mac & cheese (short approx. 500 boxes), (8) tuna/canned meat/ canned fish (short c. 450 cans), (9) dry rice/beans (short c.423 pounds), (10) oatmeal/cereal (short c.390 boxes), and (11) canned fruit (short c. 338 cans).

We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, Nos. 3, 4. 5 and 6 diapers, baby wipes, and adult diapers/Depends sizes small, medium and extra-large. With thanks for a recent very large donation of the same, please hold off for the time being on any donation of size large adult diapers/Depends.

Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe or Lidl size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.

May God bless you for all your help for our work!
