Over the week ending with the 11 December distribution, we received approximately 2.88 tons of non-perishable food donations, and gave out some 2.92 tons of non-perishable food and substantially more perishable food to 300 families.
Estimated shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 510 families for the 18 December Christmas distribution and 370 families for Tuesday 26 December): (1) mac & cheese (short c.640 boxes), (2) canned beans (short c.559 cans), (3) tuna/canned meat/canned fish (short c.483 cans), (4) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. -- short c.471 cans), (5) canned soup, (6) dry rice/beans, (7) pasta sauce, (8) canned fruit, (9) pasta, (10) canned vegetables, and (11) oatmeal/dry cereal.
We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes.
Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe or Lidl size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
May God bless you for all your help!
