FOOD PANTRY REPORT/SHORTAGES FOR MARCH 11

Over the week ending with 11 March, we received approximately 4.35 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 3.45 tons to 454 families in the week ending 26 February and some 4.15 tons and rather less perishable food to 354 families in the week ending 11 March.

Estimated shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 410 families next week and a guess of 450 for the following week): (1) canned vegetables (short c. 642 cans), (2) pasta sauce (short approx. 428 bottles/cans), (3) canned soup (short c. 422 cans), (4-tie) tuna/canned meat/canned fish (short c.342 cans), (4-tie) dry rice/beans (short c. 342 pounds), (4-tie) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. short c. 342 cans), (7) mac & cheese (short approx. 340 boxes), (8) pasta (short approx. 320 boxes), (9) canned fruit (short c. 304 cans), (10) canned beans (short c. 211 cans),, and (11) dry unsweetened cereal/oatmeal (short c.119 boxes/bags).

We also need: baby wipes, and Pediasure, as well as Ensure for adults, and adult diapers/Depends size medium ONLY. With thanks for a recent very large donation of the same, please hold off for the time being on any donation of other sizes of adult diapers/Depends. Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe or Lidl size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.

May God bless you for all your help for our work!
