Dear St. Martin’s Parishioners,
Happy Thanksgiving! (The the old-school Catholic in me wishes it were still celebrated on its traditional day—St. Martin’s Day.) Please see my Christmas letter in this week’s bulletin. It lists the calendar of parish events which I advise you to post on your fridge for the whole of this extremely short Advent.
We will host Fr. Bill Garrott, O.P., to lead our Advent Parish Mission on the evenings of Dec. 4, 5, and 6 in the church. Fr. Bill is a polished and renowned retreat director, so this is one you won’t want to miss. His missions aren’t just for adults but is tailored for everyone from 2nd grade and above! The theme of the mission is “Christ-Lock: Identity Theft No More!”
I remind you to consider donating to our parish on Giving Tuesday, November 28. We are in midst of a major renovation of our parish office, having just installed central air and preparing to replace all of our windows. Due to the incredible generosity of parishioners who are air conditioning technicians, electricians, and who work in home remodeling, we have already saved thousands on this project. We would still like to raise $20,000 to offset expenses, though. You can make your donation through Faith Direct by clicking here or by making out a check to St. Martin’s with “Parish Office Project” in the memo line. Thank you in advance!
May you have a blessed final Sunday of Ordinary Time as we proclaim Christ as King of the Universe.
In Christ the King,
Fr. Dave
