Dear St. Martin’s Parishioners,

As we close this calendar year with the Feast of the Holy Family, I would like to thank all of you who help to make St. Martin’s such a special parish family. Our volunteers, ministry groups, staff and faithful parishioners work to keep this spiritual juggernaut churning in service of the Lord and his people.

To recap some of the highlights of the latter part of 2024:

  • We kicked off our 2024-2025 St. Martin’s School year in late August with an enrollment of about 200 children. Meanwhile almost 700 children registered for Religious Education. In total, almost 900 children have been entrusted to our school and religious education staff and catechists for their spiritual, intellectual, and relational growth!

  • In September a group of over 40 pilgrims, including many from St. Martin’s, toured Portugal and Spain to visit our Lady of Fatima and grow in devotion to our Eucharistic Lord through the life and writings of St. Manuel Gonzalez.

  • In October we held our third annual Ministry Fair which showcased the incredible number of ministries active in our community. Many parishioners signed up to get more involved in parish life.

  • The Sisters led three Marian encounters in October, culminating in an outdoor, candlelight rosary procession.

  • In November we celebrated St. Martin’s Day with a trilingual Mass, dinner and play in honor of our patron saint.

  • We prayed especially for the holy souls in purgatory in November, highlighted by the Mass for family members who lost loved ones over the past year.

  • Advent was chock full of activities, including the Mass for the Immaculate Conception, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Walk with Mary, Walking to Bethlehem, and Las Posadas.

I am especially grateful to those who generously responded to our Taking the Next Step offertory campaign in October and who gave towards our parish hall kitchen renovations on Giving Tuesday!

May the child Jesus, through the intercession of Mary and Joseph, bless all of you in this Christmas season. Here’s to a blessed 2025!

In Christ,

Fr. Dave
