PANTRY REPORT/ SHORTAGES AS OF 20 NOVEMBER

Over the week ending with the 20 November distribution, we received approximately 6.33 tons of non-perishable food donations, and gave out some 5.78 tons of non-perishable food and perhaps half as much perishable food to 594 families.


Estimated shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 290 families next week and 370 for the week of 4 December): (1) canned soup (short c.468 cans), (2) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. -- short c.300 cans), (3) canned fruit  (short approx. 275 cans), (4) pasta sauce (short approx. 252 bottles/cans), (5) tuna/canned meat/canned fish (short c.175 cans), (6) oatmeal/cereal (short c.174 units), (7) pasta (short approx. 131 boxes), and (8) canned beans (short c.28 cans.


We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, diapers numbers 1, 3 and 6, and baby wipes.


–Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
